Take a Staycation on Long Island:
Stimulate the Economy & Your Taste Buds!

A staycation is like a vacation except you get to STAY close to home.
Have just as much fun, without the extra time and expense of going on a long trip.

If you were planning a getaway on your own, you'd have the chore of researching everything yourself. Instead, leave it to an expert. Chef Paula, owner of Special Events, has come up with the perfect combination of activities for a memorable day for your family. Why try to figure it out from scratch when you can join us for our 3rd annual Fun on The Farm Day?

What does the letter "A"
have in common with a flower?
They both have bees coming after them.

Everyone was buzzing about the LilChefs' first ever Fun on the Farm Day in 2009. A television station even sent a reporter and crew to cover the event. Check out the video and see for yourself!

Last year, many of our repeat guests told us this was their favorite LilChefs Event.
They were eager to do it again, and see what else we were doing next year.

Registration Closes 10pm on July 14th, 2011

But don't wait that long. We expect to sell out quickly.
Your next chance will be in the Summer of 2012 !

Michelle K. said, "Oh, I think this was wonderful. We're going to do more of these programs. I'm so glad we came today, even though the weather was warm. We had a really great time. The blueberries were really good!"

Detailed Description of Event/Activities:
Fun on the Farm Day will include a tour of two farms, picking fruits, making yummy treats from your "harvest," and seeing how cheese is made.

First, you will visit Wickham’s Fruit Farm, Long Island's largest fruit farm on Peconic Bay, ride an old-fashioned wagon, pick seasonal fruits in the orchard, and prepare delicious jam and desserts to enjoy after your picnic lunch (that you packed and brought from home).

Next, you will visit Catapano Dairy Farm, the only goat dairy on the North Fork, watch a goat milking demonstration, learn how cheese is made, and sample cheeses or fudge.

Advance payment and registration required.

Gigi said, "I can't wait to put this jam on, and make my own jam. Also make some bluberry muffins. I can't wait for all the delicious stuff to come. That's a whole month of dieting here, but that's ok.

Nadia said "I tasted it, and it's good!"
